Happy Thanksgiving

Our Thanksgiving was wonderful. We decided to do it at our little apartment this year because my sister Kelli, her husband and her daughter and my brother Ben had no plans for Thanksgiving. My family is all over the place right now so I was grateful to spend the day with some of my siblings. Darren cooked the turkey and I made the potatoes and pumpkin bread. Kelli and Ben brought lots of other yummy food and we were definitely stuffed! We had plenty of left overs. Darren did awesome on his first turkey, too. He never ceases to amaze me with his cooking skills. After dinner we went to the Dickerson's to enjoy pie and ice cream... even though I didn't have any because I was so full! It was a very relaxing day and we just feet super grateful for the families that we have.

What I'm grateful for

Darren- he does so much for me and loves me unconditionally. I feel grateful for the man he is and all he does to make me happy everyday.

Our baby- On Thanksgiving we announced to the "world" (cyber world) that we are expecting our first baby! Since we have found out, I look at my life and the world differently. I just feel so completely blessed. I am filled with so much love and I know that comes from the tiny miracle inside of me. I am so thankful for the changes that are happening to me.

Brothers and sisters- I always have a friend to call and someone to be there for me when I need them. I can't imagine my life without every single one of them.

Mom and dad- duh. They have helped shape who I am today. I hope someday to be half the people they are. They have taught me how to live my life with integrity, faith and happiness and I am forever grateful. This also goes for Darren's parents. I am grateful for the person they have raised him to be and for all that they do for us!

Good friends- I don't have a million friends but I do have a handful of friends who would do anything for me. I can always count on them no matter how far apart we are or how long it's been since we talked. I am grateful for the special bond I have with each of them.

Opportunity- Lately I have been feeling so blessed that I have the chances and opportunities that I do because of the free country we live in. I have an education and can work wherever I please. I am also grateful for those who serve our country to  make it possible for us to be free.

The Gospel- This one is the most special to me because without it I wouldn't have the family I have or be who I am today. With this I can change and be changed through Jesus Christ. I know I wouldn't be able to go through life without Him and His grace.

My nieces and nephews- Every single one brings so much happiness to my life! I wish I could live by all of them, but I am grateful for the times I do get to see them and watch them grow. I love them so much!

Work- I am grateful to have a job and an income, when so many people do not.

Change- I used to be afraid of change and sometimes still am, but for the most part I am grateful that things change and I get to experience new seasons of life. It helps me to grow and learn.

We hope you all had an amazing Thanksgiving!
