Fall means crisp air, crunchy leaves, an abundance of fruits and veggies, pumpkins, candy and a season that is so dear to my heart.
We started dating in the fall and I found out Wesley was growing inside of me two falls after that. Life changing experiences for me that I will never forget. Because of that, Autumn brings a nostalgic feeling, one that I adore. Being in Arizona this year has me craving for this familiar feeling. I miss it so much. We have so so many memories that took place in the fall and I'm kind of mourning the fact we won't get to experience it the same this year. But I am determined to make new traditions and experiences to enjoy this time forward here in Arizona.
Luckily back in August we took a small trip up to Utah to welcome Darren's sister home from a 18 month church mission, so we got our fruit fix in then. I almost forgot about these photos I took while we were there but came across them today and had to share, as they are some of my favorites. This time of year is always so fun around the Dickerson home, with Grandpa Dickersons garden in full bloom. The abundance of fruits and vegetables his garden produces every year and how hard he works to get it that way always impresses me.
Wesley was in heaven and ate everything he could get his hands on and begged for the ones he could not. Seeing last years dream of him playing in the garden come to fruition this year, was so incredible. It was so fun to see him old enough to be able to enjoy it and to get a glimpse of what it will be like harvesting our own garden some day.
