Our babes first Easter. I kinda feel silly because I completely forgot about the holiday this year. I've seen posts all week talking about Christ and The Resurrection so that's been on my mind, but I spaced the whole candy/bunny/egg part. I've also been busy planning an early birthday party for Wes, which was the day before Easter, and completely dropped the ball. Good thing he has grandparents, great parents and a dad that didn't forget though! On Saturday we enjoyed a couple eggs hunts, and naturally all he wanted to do was eat the eggs he found (attempting to double egg it in the photo below, haha). I wouldn't say he had a blast because he didn't know what was happening, but it was still fun to watch him.
On Sunday morning I woke up and realized I hadn't prepared anything for either of my boys-oops. But of course, when we went down stairs, Darren had already been down there with a little egg hunt for Wesley and some pretty flowers for me. That man is amazing! The sun was out and it was the most beautiful day. We went to church but I didn't hear any of it, so throughout the day I tried to reflect on all that I have because Christ lives. I reflected on the fact that because He lives I am blessed beyond measure and can live an amazing life through His exemplary life. What a gift it is that He not only died for us, but also lives again so that we know of the path we should take. I am so incredibly grateful for that.
