It's been a while since I shared some of my favorite beauty products, so I thought I'd let you in on what I'm loving lately. Even though mommy-hood is my main focus, I still love skin care and it's time I bring a little of it back to the blog! The products I use now have shifted as I take a more natural approach to what we use on ourselves and in our home. I used to have tons, and I mean tons, of products, but I am learning that less really is more. When I run out of something I try a new brand or product until I find the right one and focus on quality over quantity. These are the winners in my book and I wouldn't post about them if I didn't highly recommend each one. (click on the name to find the source)
1. Clarisonic- I've wanted one since I started working at Got Beauty, but couldn't afford it at the time. I asked for one as a gift this past Christmas and it has been the best thing! I only use it once a week to prevent too much exfoliation. This rotating brush leaves my skin deeply cleansed and feeling refreshed.
2. DoTerra Foaming Face Wash- I recently switched from my Dermalogica face wash to this and I am so happy I did. I love how it foams, how little I need to cover my entire face and that the majority of the ingredients are organic. It's gentle but does the job at the same time.
3. Citrus Bliss and Frankincense Essential Oils- I'm going to do a whole post on oils soon, but I just wanted to spotlight these two since I've been using them everyday recently. Between winter blues and a little bit of post-partum depression these past couple months, these oils have really helped me lately. Citrus Bliss is the "happy" oil and the Frankincense helps with depression (and a whole lot of other things, too!).
5. Shea Moisture Baby Shampoo and Body Wash- This one is for baby boy, but I had to share because I love love it! I have tried three or four different brands for baby shampoos/washes and this one beats them all in my opinion. In addition to the awesome lather and absolutely heavenly scent, it really is organic, unlike a lot of brands that say they are, but are not completely.
